1. Blood containing wastes enters the kidney and flows into one of a million nephrons.
2. In the nephron, blood passes through the glomerulus where wastes are filtered out.
3. The filtered fluid then passes through the tubule, where chemicals
and water are either added or removed depending on your body's current needs.
4. Wastes leave the kidney as urine.
5. The cleaned blood is returned to the blood
stream, and is circulated.
