Back to Normal
The donor can expect
to recover quickly and completely, and to return to their
 normal life. The only precautions
are to avoid activities in which
      they might receive a blow
       that would injure the
       remaining kidney, to monitor
        their health, and to have
        regular checkups (as
      everyone should). Serious
      complications are very rare.

   Feeling Better
Because of the new kidney, the recipient will likely feel better
than they have in years.
             To stay healthy and
     prevent rejection, it's
important for the
patient to take the
immunosuppressive
drugs as they were
prescribed and to
have the blood
tests and clinic
appointments,
too.

Restrictions on diet
and fluids usually are
no longer necessary.
They should just
eat healthful meals
and exercise.
